Meeting called to order:
Important for Pet Prescription Team members to meet in person, connection is important.

Los Angeles County Sheriff Department SVU Update:
MOA signed and Insurance Binder drafted and approved
Discussed how we plan to move forward quickly
Conduct of a PPT volunteer on the actual SVU visit:
General statement - beginning call outs will be scheduled
How to conduct yourself on the assignments - you are there to support, just be there, let your dog be the voice
"What happens in Vegas Stays in Vegas !” - what happens in the interview, stays in the interview
Realize these victims have been traumatized and need their space and the ability to process.
How the clearing process will work:
First Volunteers to visit will be those who already have clearance through the Los Angeles County Sheriff Background checks within the last year.
And
All those who are visiting at CAC in Covina and Los Alamitos.
This does not mean that if you don’t have this clearance you won’t be able to visit. What it means is that we are trying to get this up and running quickly so we are first going with those that are already cleared.
To begin the clearance process and be in the Q you must send the following information to Krystal:
Covid vaccination card
Drivers License front/back
Dogs current vaccination records
Please send them as one email not in pieces.
After Krystal receives all documentation, she will keep you updated.
CAC update
For all those who would like to volunteer at CAC and get an idea of how the SVU works you should consider volunteering at CAC until your clearance is through with LCSD.
Volunteers please remember:
Set your phones to receive real-time emails
(Respond all) to the assignment if you can fill it
If you can take both assignments on a given day take both
